Yoshiki Hayashi (born November 20, 1965, in Tateyama, Japan) is the leader, drummer, pianist and producer of the legendary Japanese metal band, X Japan. Yoshiki founded X Japan, named 'X' at first, with his high school friend and vocalist - Toshi. X Japan's fame has yet to be matched by any band in Japan and of all the members, Yoshiki's solo career has been the most successful one, managing his own record company, Extasy Records and being a producer with his privately owned studio in Los Angeles. He currently resides in a mansion located in Los Angeles, California, USA.
