Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi (born January 30, 1984), better known by his stage name Kid Cudi is a Grammy nominated American rapper and singer. He first gained major attention after the release of his debut mixtape A Kid Named Cudi. In 2009, his single "Day 'n' Nite" reached the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. "Day 'n' Nite" is part of Cudi's debut album Man on the Moon: The End of Day. Cudi has also worked with Lady GaGa, Kanye West, Common, and other artists signed to the GOOD Music label. The melodic choruses and space age beats leave the impression that Cudi might be right in saying that heâs the man on the moon. His ability to sing makes him more dynamic than the average hip-hop artist. At times his lyricism isnât well pointed at times and lacks the use of appropriate devices. But for Mr. Cudi the universe is the limit â and under Kanye Westâs label GOOD Music, he is in experienced hands.
