Selena Quintanilla Perez was known as the Queen of Tejano music. She is of Mexican/American descent and released her first album at the age of 12. She was sadly taken away from her family and this world on March 31st 1995. In Corpus Christi, Texas, a statue was made in honor of Selena. They also declared Selena's birthday, which is on April 16th as Selena day in Texas. In tribute of Selena, they made a movie which was based on her life and her music. May she R.I.P!!!!!
