To introduce Risa Hontiveros and her advocacy to the voting public. She is known as a progressive lawmaker, a womens rights advocate, former journalist, and peace advocate. She is currently a Party-List Representative in the House of Representatives. Author of more than 50 bills and resolutions in Congress, she was instrumental in the passage of two landmark legislations: the Cheaper Medicines Bill, which increases the powers of the government to lower the price of medicines in the country, and the CARP Extension with Reforms Bill, which extends the land acquisition and distribution component of land reform and cures the infirmities of the program.
