  • About Me

    • I recently relocated here from South Dakota via Texas and am looking to explore the area. I was in the Abilene area for about a year, and really disliked it. Since I have been in Charleston, I cannot think of a single complaint...nice weather, nice people, and plenty of stuff to do. Travel has always been an interest even though I tend to not do THAT much. If I could find a travel partner that would be willing to go overseas or even do work vacations (where the idea is to actually immerse yourself in a culture AND help someone as opposed to lying on the beach), I would be eccstatic. I would most like to travel to Germany, eastern Europe, and south/central America. Thus far, I have only been to about 3/4 of the states, lived in 3, and traveled to Canada and Mexico.

    • I am not really into watching televised sports (but I will go to a live game occassionally); have no desire to live in a big house; do not need to compensate by driving an expensive car or buying the newest gadget; having more money does not make me happier; and, I believe that you should be faithful to one person (besides, it would be too much work to date more than one person *kidding*). I would rather go to a museum, art gallery, opera, symphony, or just sit in a coffee shop and talk. And, to clear up two things: one, I do not like musicals; and, two, I'm not gay. :) I live very simply and only need a faithful partner I can trust, respect, cherish, and provide for. I have worked a multitude of jobs...for the experiences, not the money...as a bouncer, short order cook, farm laborer, personal trainer, et cetera, but my current job entails programming. Money is not very important to me as long as I can pay the bills and still save for retirement.

    • Well, I would pick my mind...as I hope all people would. Beyond that, I get the most compliments about my lips, eyes, and chest; I do not put much stock in those, except for the eyes, because beauty fades over time. And, if you find yourself attracted to someone who is beautiful on the outside, but ugly on the inside, where will that leave you when you grow old with them? One of my biggest accomplishments is coming to the realization that what I want is to find someone in life that I am compatible with and someone that I can make truly happy (probably why I gravitate towards women who have trust issues towards men)...it used to feel like not being alone was the most important thing. However, I have noticed that just because you are physically capable of holding someone in your arms, it does not mean that you are still not alone. Also, the first time that I benched 400 and squatted 1100 lbs. It may seem like an ego thing, but this is important to me because I in a "chair" for 45 days.

    • My main hobbies are weightlifting/powerlifting, reading, movies, music, vounteering, traveling, and experiencing new things. We are on this spinning ball for a finite period after all. I like rainy nights and thunderstorms--especially right before bedtime. The cool night air blowing over my body and the calming sound usually put me to sleep in an instant. I have trouble sleeping many nights, and have some strange attraction to woman who have a similar issue or are at least night owls on occasion. Besides a stormy night, little helps better than having someone to share the night with. Few things make me feel complete like holding a woman on a cold or stormy night to convey feelings of warmth, caring, and protection. Although I could see someone describing me as kinky, my values are probably similar to that of a 1950's lifestyle...even though I like women who are sometimes submissive, that does not mean I do not like women who are strong and resolute, yet still like to be taken care of.

    • Powerlifting, Strongman.

    • reading, biking, lifting, yoga, cooking, foreign cultures, hiking, nutrition, opera, motorcycles, gardening, pool, volunteering, movies, listening to music, and playing trumpet/piano

    • I only have one dream...to accomplish my many goals. :p

    • Humor and chest/traps.

    • I enjoy reading, biking, lifting, yoga, cooking, foreign cultures, hiking, nutrition, opera, motorcycles, gardening, pool, volunteering, movies, and music (except most country and a LOT of rap).... I used to be a book worm but came to the dim realization that having more knowledge tends to breed apathy and cynicism; besides, life lived from books is really dull. Since then, i have done a lot of catching up on life's experiences...some people say TOO much, but that is another story....*S* I would hardly describe myself as average...I mean, c'mon, look at my interests! lol I am very easy-going, reliable, conservative, honest, humorous, faithful, and tend to play devil's advocate on occasion. Lately, I spend a lot of my time at the gym (10-16 hrs/wk) as well as biking to work about half of the time--but I'm a powerlifter, not bodybuilder. Actually, dropping weight bums me out, but I would consider getting cut for the right woman.

    • She must be honest, faithful, and share similar values. I would like to find someone who has a technical/professional background or basic career aspirations/life plans...and someone who shares 1 or 2 of my hobbies as well as someone who goes to the gym or is into any other kind of physical fitness. But, BEING IN SHAPE IS NOT A REQUIREMENT! Honestly, 90% of my physical activity comes from lifting (I hate cardio with a passion; it's a necessary evil). As far as personality, I like many different types...from dark, brooding goths to happy, shiny outdoor enthusiasts. The metaphysical connection is very important to me, but it would take too long to describe everything. I prefer diminutive, petite women; but, it is merely a preference. This may sound odd, but I am typically drawn to women who need reassurance about how beautiful they are, it gives me a warm feeling inside to know that my woman craves my attention. But, honestly, there is precious little cuter than a shy woman...

    • as with all men, women are still a little of a mystery to me. but, i know what attracts me...large eyes, thin wrists, and pronounced clavicle...i do not know why, but that is a few things that i have always found sexy. metaphysically, i do not know if there is anything cuter a woman can do to get my attention than look my way, catch and hold my gaze, and then shyly look down. there is something about that mannerism that is usually tied to a woman's personality; and, it is invariably a small indicator that i will be attracted to her mind. i am looking for someone like me, but different. :p i like to keep a light heart and enjoy life, but i have my serious moments too. unlike most guys, i do not really enjoy sports as a spectator; something about doting on the accomplishments of others does not make sense to me. don't get me wrong, i would go to a live game occassionaly, but you would not often find me watching sports on tv--there are better ways to spend my time...like living.

    • i am really turned off by women who swear frequently, have weak family bonds (without a VERY good reason), are very materialistic, and do not have at least a little independence. it puts a smile on my face when my partner wants to spend time with me, but i need them to enjoy things on their own too because i think we all need a little time to ourselves. still, chances are, if we could not sit together after a few dates and have a little comfortable silence, it would not work out in the end. it just seems as if sometimes, it is more important to just enjoy spending time together as opposed to the things that are said. in the end, that is what i (and most people likely) seek...someone to spend time with--and maybe the rest of my life, but that is not something i would ever rush. in the end, do you know those 80 year old couples that still hold hands? that's exactly what i want. i hope my mind spilled out on page has hit a chord with someone...well, *cough* a female someone. lol
