A little over a year ago I saw a story that touched me beyond what words can express. It was a YouTube video of little Miss Kelsey Briggs. After hearing her heartbreaking story and the story of those who had tried to save her I realized I felt a need to get involved. I found I could no longer turn my head and ignore the growing epidemic of child abuse in our country, and especially in my own community. I became involved in Kelsey's Purpose, a group started by Kelsey's paternal Grandmother in hopes of preventing what happened to Kelsey from happening to other children. From there I started Kelsey's Milwaukee Hugs. I collect new teddy bears and donate them to children in crisis situations.
