My 21 year old son Kirin James Chavez was killed in a rollover accident at the hands of a drunk driver Tuesday, Oct. 5th. The driver died at the scene, and my son, at the hospital 2 days later. None of the four passengers in this one car accident were wearing their seat belts, and all four were ejected. The two girls sitting in the back seat of the SUV survived. Immediately after my son's funeral on Oct.12th, we began a memorial foundation called "Kirin Kares Foundation". Kirin Kares Foundation is hosting its VERY 1st event. All donations will go towards benefiting the Foundation to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking & driving, NOT wearing seat belts, and why it’s a STUPID idea to get into a vehicle with someone who’s under the influence!
