Poetry is an old, old expression of emotion that all too often, as society conforms to newer things and faster lives, many people lose their appreciation for poetry. Some people never had that appreciation, and some never will. A poet is an who feels their emotions so deeply, and has such a desire to express it, that they can not simply pick up a brush and stroke the lines of their heart onto a canvas. No, the poet needs to bring their emotion verbally with a rhythm. Poetry is the art of the Heart and the music of the Soul! Without it, today's rap artists would have no beat, our singers would have no tune. So if you love to write poetry, or simply love to read it, please come join this group! No genre or topic is turned away! Let's all have a poetry reading!! :-) Due to possible mature topics, I am setting this up to people 18+, however, if I see fit, I will change it later to another starting age.
