Human trafficking is the illegal commerce and trade of people. It is essentially the facet of slavery which relies on direct purchase, in contrast to the "natural increase" from enslaving the children of slaves. The victims of human trafficking are used for prostitution, forced labor (including bonded labor or debt bondage) and other forms of involuntary servitude.
