On March 16th 1988...the people of the kurdish town Halajba were struck down by a gas attack...5000 died...thousands more injured...after the attack even years later thousands more were still dying from birth defects and complications. As of 2009 it is still the largest scale chemical wepons attack directed against a civilian-populated area in history. Every time i read of Halajba or see the pictures my heart hurts and pray and pray this never happens again....Let the people who died in Halajba not be forgotten....Bless you all
