Description:Evanescence is an American alternative metal, founded in 1996 by Amy Lee (current leader) and Ben Moody (former member). The founders, Amy Lee and Ben Moody, met in their teens in a summer camp. Well, one day he heard Amy playing the piano I'd Do Anything For Love Meat Loaf goes to him and asks him to sing for him. Amazed by the voice of the singer, he offers him to form a group. Evanescence was born shortly after.
