It is sometimes referred to as APS, APLS, or APLA and is known as Hughes Syndrome or "Sticky Blood" in the UK. APS is associated with recurrent clotting events including premature stroke, repeated miscarriages, phlebitis, venous thrombosis and pulmonary thromboembolism.
