The phrase may be familiar but this group is for people who take rights seriously. If you think that nonhuman animals are rightholders and what humans do to them are rights violations, then this is for you. Billions of sentient nonhuman animals are being killed and exploited in the world. Millions of human beings are also harmed and abused in human trafficking and bonded labour conditions. There is one factor that unites all of these victims: their rights are being violated. Human animal rights and nonhuman animal rights: Animal Rights. The philosophy of animal rights asserts that many nonhuman animals are rights bearers and if they are used by human beings then their rights are being violated. If this claim sounds strange it is because it is not made often. However, there is a young and growing rights-based Animal Rights Movement making this claim.
