Jay Sean, real name Kamaljit Singh,but better known by his stage name Jay Sean, is a British singer-songwriter, rapper, beatboxer and record producerHe is currently signed to Cash Money Records for his North American releases. His American debut single "Down" topped the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first solo artist of Asian origin and first UK urban act to top the Hot 100.[6] The single sold two million copies in the United States,[7] making him the most successful male UK urban artist in US chart history,[8] as well as the most successful British male artist in the US since Elton John in 1997.[9] His next single, "Do You Remember", has reached #25 on the Hot 100.
