  • About Me

    • First off there is the fact that our CD ("Invisible" featuring John Silver and Craig Furkas) is rather good.. But aside from that; I think that the absolute best male vocalist of all times was/is Sam Cooke.Jackie Wilson was right up there also... And Nat King Cole....I also like Smooth Jazz...Some of my favorite artists include Wayman Tisdale, Bob James, Freddie Hubbard, John Coltrane, Earl Klugh, Roy Ayers, Anita Baker, Dexter Gordon, Duke Pearson, The Jazz Crusaders, Little Anthony & The Imperials, Micheal Franks, Chicago, Blood Sweat & Tears, Journey, Sting, Tu-Pac, Curtis Mayfield, The Temptations,The Average White Band, Frankie Beverly and a few others.

    • I got a kick out of the "Demolition Man", I think that one of the best movies of all times was/is entitled: "Let No Man Write My Epitaph" (That is just my opinion) and also "Imitation of Life", "The Fastest Gun Alive" and "The Game"..... Just to name a few.

    • I am an "Adult Swim" fanatic meaning that I enjoy watching certain cartoons..I like animated cartoons as opposed to real people type cartoons.

    • "The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant" by Stephen R. Donaldson, "The Foundation Trilogy" by Issac Asimov and lastly there was a book entitled "Red Fog Over America" that I thought was very good/I however don't remember the author's name.. I also like Robert Beck, Donald Goines, Charley Avery Harris, Nathan C. Heard, Louis L'Amour, Stephen King, Dean Koontz and a few others.

    • My absolute favorite sport of all times is Championship Boxing.

    • Chief among my interests is music.. I also am presently involved in fundraising for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.....I am also very interested in on-line promotions...

    • My dream shall one day show itself and will no doubt be of the two legged variety.

    • My spirit and sense of humor.

    • Craig was working at his home studio in Los Angeles, when John showed up to check out what Craig was up to. After listening to a couple of Craig's instrumental tracks John mentioned he had a song that he wanted Craig to hear. The next four minutes were the beginning of what would become "Invisible", Craig & John's collaborative fusion of musical ideas. Craig was blown away when John started singing an acappella version of "In My Dreams", which was a song written by a friend of John's, Charles Miranda years before. Craig was so impressed by the song and John's ability to sing that he immediately created an epic arrangement without ever having heard any of the original chord progressions. It wasn't until Craig and John were finished with the track that Craig was able to hear Charles' original demo of voice and acoustic guitar. For the next three months Craig and John were in the studio day and night writing and recording. A typical night would be sitting outside by the pool with an ice-cold beer and plenty of paper. John would come up with a verse and Craig would immediately rush back into the studio and lay down a sequence using his preferred sequencer, Digital Performer.
