I don't have time to watch much tv, but I like Mock The Week, QI, Have I Got News For You and pretty much any travel or nature programme.

My favourite book will always be my own, Dude's Dreams. Favourite authors are Michael Moorcock, David Morrell, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, L. Sprague de Camp, Ben Bova, Fred Saberhagen, Ed McBain.

I used to play cricket and badminton, but no longer. My favourite football team is Blackpool.

Reading, writing (mostly about the band Hawkwind), music, trams, my computer.

My dreams were to have a good wife, children and grandchildren, to have a job I liked, to write a book and to make a record....I've done them all, so I guess I am lucky.

I care about people and I like to see people happy.
