Originally from the east coast, I lived on the west coast before settling near Washington, DC.

Mt. Whitney (14,505 feet): it was around 50 degrees and hailing ----to ---- Badwater (282 feet (86.0 m) below sea level): around 120 degrees and sun. Some details on the Whitney hike..... Start time: 5:30 AM End time: 12:30 AM (about 19 hours) Time at summit: 45 minutes Tougher than expected? Yes, maybe more difficult than a marathon. Would I do it again? I doubt it (2% yes, 98% no)
