Dont watch too much TV except whats on late night. I do watch news program like The Rachel Maddow Show, Countdown, 360 with Anderson Cooper.

Love inspirational and self help books. Also fantasy and thrillers. Watership Down, The Secret, Animal Farm,The Celestine Prophecies. Cook Books etc...

Dancing, walking, board games, SEX lol.

Love sketching, painting, drawing, writing and reading. Love Music and Poetry, quiet evenings at home with a good movie, the Arts, NYC and good times with good people.

I am a dreamer, with my feet well planted on the ground. I live with passion and conviction but I am not perfect. I am sensitive but when crossed I can be insensitive. I love the simple things in life. A hug or a smile, the lyrics of poetry and the music of love. I dont settle for less than what I deserve but I dont ask for anything more than what i am willing to give. A friend once asked me, " do you think gay men are capable of true love?" My answer is this... Theres no doubt in my mind that love is real and it exists inside of us gay or straight. Unfortunately love is not always strong but weak. It doesn't always win its battles with life and temptation and the obstacles that fall in its path. It's hard enough being gay and struggling to fit in a society that still wants to step over us as second class citizens. Because of the homosexual history, the opression, the closet weve been locked in by society, be it religious, social or political. We have created a community that can be flawed and can turn on itself sometimes. We have created a community divided by our own labels and stereotypes.

The Bear, The chub, the top or bottom, the twink, fem or the masculine. We need to mend ourselves and accept each and every one of us that live under this same communal umbrella of Homosexuality. It is so easy for a gay man to go out into the streets to find that temporary "Love Fix" The countless cruising spots or sex clubs where we find that temporary solution to our loneliness. Where two human beings connect so passingly without even the knowledge of each others name. I write this in acknowledgement of my guilt that perpetuates this lifestyle. Am I capable of love and faithfulness? Yes I am and yes I have, but unfortunately my love was not strong enough to fight. As the old saying goes "It's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all. ..........Luis E Perez
