Classic rock is preferred, but I can listen to most everything except rap. Glass Harp is my favorite band.

I like action, horror and comedy movies, but will watch a classic once in a while also. I occasionally take disadvantaged kids to the movies, and some of the kids' movies weren't all that bad either.

If I am in front of the TV, it is most always the History or Discovery Channel. I have been known to watch CSI, That 70s Show & Street Smarts, but not on a regular basis.

I enjoy reading, but I have little time to do it. Most of my books are reference books - religious, exonumia (over 200 reference books), historical or science. I have contributed to 3 books. The last two books I read were: "Forget Not the Cry of the Humble" (A Civil War Novel that peers into the lives of young foot soldiers who participate in some of the war's bloodiest battles), and "Bridges at the Foot of the Rapids" (an illustrated history of the Maumee-Perrysburg, Ohio River crossings). I am currently reading "Atlas Shrugged".

If sports comes on the TV or radio, I turn it off or change the channel - don't want to even hear it. I do participate in a few sports - bowling, dirt riding, ping-pong, volleyball, horseshoes, but I don't watch any of them on TV. My wife watches every sport known to man, but thankfully she mutes it if I am within earshot.

I enjoy my work as a mechanical engineer, currently designing equipment for the steel industry. I am interested in things are a bit odd or unusual.

That my daughter will someday realize what pain, heartbreak and anguish she has brought to our family, and that she would offer a sincere apology for her past behavior. Our family will not be complete until that time. However, I won't be holding my breath until that happens as she and I have not spoken since June, 2003. My written offer of forgiveness and reconciliation has gone unanswered.

My easy going personality. I am very even tempered and it is hard to get a rise out of me. My willingness to help others without expecting anything in return. Being a jack of all trades applies to me. I love working with and teaching children, and have spent a great deal of time doing that over the past 30 years. I'm a very patient and giving person. Some think I look a bit intimidating when they first meet me, but I am just an old softie.

The glass is neither half full nor half empty, as an engineer, I think the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Motorcycles - on or off road, boating, skiing, tubeing, canoeing, fishing, camping, flying, hiking, bowling, bicycling, unicycling, stilt walking, traveling, meeting new people, family, helping others, building things big and small, playing board games, working with kids, wood and metalworking, antique vehicles, dabble a bit in exonumia, numismatics & philately. I don't dance, and I don't watch sports.

I would like to someday design and build a motorcycle from the ground up that would have an unusual power source. I have an old Suzuki that has been converted to 36 VDC drive. I saw a photo of an old tractor that was converted into a motorcycle. That might be a fun project, so I am watching for a suitable donor.
