Many people are unaware that they or a loved one /friend have a TBI. This group is only to help raise awareness of the symptoms and causes. But also remember prevention is the key. TBI will have a different effect on each individual who sustains it. The Brain Injury Association of America has various resources. Many states in the United states have Brain Injury Associations. Go to the BIA of USA website to find the one for your state in their list. http://www.biausa.org/ One of the difficulties we face is lack of funding and awareness for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, and support services. More people who have tbi or work with people who have it or or close to someone who has it.... are needed to facilitate this group....
